The Fossil Ridge baseball staff will be conducting the 14th annual Fossil Ridge Panther Baseball Camp this summer. These will be very fun and exciting baseball camps. We will provide each camper a camp T-shirt. The instructors will include FRHS coaches, former FRHS baseball players and college baseball players. The camps will give instruction on hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, catching, baserunning, sliding, and other areas of the game. We will focus mainly on skills and drills but will also have “game time” with the players.

2010 Summer League Baseball Information
The summer league is not mandatory for players in our program. It is, however, recommended for the players to play either for us, a select team or both over the summer break, as this will give them more experience and opportunity to develop as baseball players. Most players will be gone at some time during the summer and might miss a game or 2. That is understandable, but we need to have an idea of how many players we will have for the games scheduled. Each year, we seem to start with 16 or so that express interest in playing and we worry about playing time issues….then by the end of the year, we are calling people trying to find 9 to field a team. I would like to avoid this if at all possible. For the JV team, we will have tryouts, which will include incoming 9th graders who are interested in playing. These will be held in mid May at our field. We really want to field the most competitive team possible, with a roster of 14-15. Since there is a fee to play, playing time is expected. We want to be as fair and up front with each player about playing time expectations.
